Ocean Water - An Untapped, Bountiful Energy Source

waterOcean Water – An Untapped, Bountiful Energy Source

(NaturalNews) A cancer patient has found some interesting properties of seawater that could provide an abundant, cheap source of energy.

It was an accidental discovery, as reported in a CBS news story. John Kanzius, a leukemia patient, was trying to desalinate seawater using a radio-frequency generator. He had developed this radio-frequency generator to treat cancer.

Hydrogen is released from the seawater because the radio frequencies weaken the bonds between the elements, oxygen and hydrogen - it is hypothesized. Rustum Roy, a Penn State University chemist, has duplicated these finding. The discovery is “the most remarkable in water science in 100 years,” Roy said.

Water covers more than seventy percent of the globe, and ninety seven percent of that can be found in the ocean. This is an abundant and cheap source of potential energy that could be made available to nearly everyone on the globe. Since hydrogen can be heated to 3,000 degrees Fahrenheit (1,650 degrees Celsius), this technology could be used to provide hydrogen to fuel hydrogen powered cars, or heavy machinery. The safety and feasibility of the hydrogen-powered car has been debated due to the explosive nature of gaseous hydrogen, or the extreme cold temperatures required to store liquid hydrogen. Storing hydrogen in a tank inside of a car could lead to potential disasters, and fuelling stations that dispense hydrogen would have the same risks. A leak of hydrogen is extremely dangerous, much more dangerous than spilling a little gas at the pump. Using seawater and converting it using the radio-frequency generator into hydrogen would significantly reduce the risk of monumental accidents.

Hi Sarah, thanks for your well written article. However, it raises goosebumps, your story is so cliché it is a bone for the media to carry this article. The cliché of someone accidentally finding a revolutionary energy source that will change the world - even to make it sweeter: the inventor was in desperation to cure his cancer! How sweet! I would have liked if you could have elaborated how he was trying to cure his cancer with (drinking?)desalinated seawater.

Anyways, about the invention, I don’t think it’s an invention at all. Stanley Meyer was a pioneer in generating hydrogen from water at far less energy needed to produce it that it consumed to make it through what it looked like an normal electrolyzer, however added High Frequency pulses (can we then call this “radio frequency generator” as well? Because that’s what Stan Meyer invented. Stan Meyer’s invention has always been scoffed at, and died mysteriously. Here is a page on him: http://waterfuel.100free.com/wf_meyer_electrolyser.html

So, I don’t consider this a new invention. Would be interesting what others have to say.
